Directors from China’s state-owned CSC Jinling Shipyard, who have been commissioned by Mr Clive Palmer’s Blue Star Line to build and coordinate the construction of Titanic II in China, will attend the Titanic Culinary dinners in London and New York later this year.
Mr Clive Palmer said CSC Jinling Shipyard’s Director Mr Ge Biao, Vice Director Mr Zhang Qiying and Business Development Manager Mr Ding Jianliang will join him at the Titanic gala dinner in London on December 1, 2012 at the Natural History Museum and also at the Global Launch of Titanic II in New York on December 4, 2012 aboard the historical Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.
The Jinling team will be accompanied by Blue Star Line director of Asian Operations Mr Raymond Tam, who is based in the Blue Star Line Hong Kong office.
Both dinners will be a feast of culinary delight as guests enjoy the same 11 course menu that the first class Titanic passengers enjoyed on April 14, 1912.
Mr Ge, Mr Zhang and Mr Ding will join world industry leaders in honouring the Titanic, past, present and future, together with former heads of state, celebrities and socialites.
In New York, Blue Star Line will be unveiling the final blueprints of Titanic II and providing guests with intimate insight into the finer details of this luxurious vessel.
In April, 2012, Blue Star Line signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CSC Jinling Shipyard to build Titanic II, and since then design has commenced.
Mr Tam said design is well underway on the Titanic II, which will be every bit as luxurious as her namesake.
